Most people find that employing a second set of trays significantly decreases turn-around time between batches. While your existing batch is processing, another set of trays can be prepped and placed in a normal freezer. This way the trays are ready to pop into the freeze dryer as soon as it has defrosted from the previous batch, saving both prep and freeze dryer processing time.
