Texas Ready

About Us

TEXAS READY was formed in 2012 by Lucinda Bailey and Kurt Nauck in response to front page headlines. Since that time, the reasons for becoming nutritionally self-sufficient have only become more evident. As a result, an ever-growing segment of our society is becoming health conscious and concerned about the food they eat. Though fresh produce is an ideal source of vitamins, nutrients and fiber, the fruits and vegetables sold at your local grocery store may not meet the exacting requirements of today’s informed consumer.

Realizing that the only way to truly know what you are eating is to grow it yourself, we decided to assemble a turn-key sustainable garden kit for the backyard, homestead or farm. We use only open-pollinated heirloom vegetable seeds in our banks, and the varieties we’ve chosen are both hardy and prolific. Cultivated properly, these non-hybrid, non-GMO seeds will perform well and provide a lifetime of excellent nutrition and food security for you and your family.

Our company was founded upon the Texas model of capitalism, freedom, independence, integrity, self-sufficiency, preparedness and civic responsibility. These are the values which inform our personal lives, our business practices and our product line.
